This unbranded 12 needle machine is aimed at people who embroider for money rather than for fun. Where home machines hold one thread at a time, this one is built to run multi colour logos on garments and hats with far fewer stops. That makes it relevant to a small studio or a home business taking repeat orders, but its thin listing means a buyer has to ask the seller a lot of questions first.

In its favour

  • Twelve needles let one design run through many colours without rethreading between each one.
  • Hat and fabric embroidery are both listed, with a 20 by 30 cm area for jacket backs and large logos.
  • Stores up to 500 patterns and 200 million stitches, with automatic thread trimming and frame shift.

Good to know

  • The listing states no warranty, which is a real risk for a machine you depend on for income.
  • Design transfer method, weight and dimensions are not reliably stated.

Our take

What the seller lists

The title and bullets describe an automatic embroidery machine with 12 needles, a 20 by 30 cm embroidery area and support for caps. Control is through a 10 inch LCD touchscreen with a multi language system that covers 16 languages. Fifteen built-in functions are named, including start and stop, an emergency stop, frame shift, automatic thread trimming and colour change.

Memory is given as up to 500 patterns and 200 million stitches. The seller pitches it at hats, clothing, home businesses, studios and industrial use.

Why twelve needles change the workflow

On a single needle machine, a six colour logo means six manual thread swaps per item. With twelve needles threaded in advance, the machine moves between colours itself, so an operator can hoop the next garment while the current one stitches. For batches of embroidered polo shirts or caps, that difference adds up quickly.

The 20 by 30 cm area is also generous. It is large enough for many jacket back designs, and a lot bigger than the 180 by 130 mm field of the Brother Innov-is F540E.

Gaps in the listing

The specs section is unreliable. It gives dimensions of 10 by 10 by 10 millimetres and a weight of 454 grams, which cannot be right for a machine of this kind, so plan your space without trusting those numbers. The warranty field reads None. There is no mention of how designs reach the machine, such as USB or a network, or which file formats it reads.

Nor does the listing name the hoops or cap frame in the box, the stitch speed, or the voltage. For a machine that a business will depend on, ask the seller about all of these, plus spare parts and servicing in the UK, before ordering.

Compared with single needle home machines

The bernette 79 offers a 260 by 160 mm field with USB import and on-screen editing, from a known brand with dealer support. The Brother Innov-is F540E adds wireless transfer and a stated 3 year warranty. Neither changes colour by itself, yet both are easier to buy with confidence. This machine wins on throughput, while those two win on support and clarity.

Verdict

Consider it if you run a small embroidery business, need multi colour logos on caps and garments, and are comfortable sourcing support yourself. Get written answers on warranty, design transfer, frames and voltage first. For hobby use or a first paid venture, the bernette 79 or Brother Innov-is F540E is the safer, better documented choice.
